Trip to Margate

On the trip to Margate, I went to the Turner Contemporary Gallery, where the artist/designer Hamish Fulton had an exhibition on, based on typography.
His work is based on his travels, his pieces in a way was like a diary, documenting certian parts of when he was travelling. He is called a 'walking artist'

Here are some of his pieces that were on his site (as we were not allowed to take images in the exhibition)

From the exhibtion as a group we went along the seafront of Margate to look around the town. The brief is to promote the art of Margate.
So, as we were walking along I took some images of some things around which I thought said 'Margate'. And what people would associate with the town.

All these images I think that I could play around with slightly to make the poster quite eye catching and interesting. I really like the one of the beach. I know that this could be quite predicatable, but I like the colours on the hut.
